Privacy Policy
What this website and our request handling collect, why, and how long we keep it. The page describes what is actually in place and will be updated when the form's delivery service is confirmed.
What we collect
Requests for quotation
When you send a request through the form or by email we receive the details you provide: your name, company, business email, optional phone and website, your role, the end-user organisation and destination country, the procurement stage and order-value band, the items requested, any attached documents and the free-text details. We use this information to review the request, prepare a quotation and correspond with you about it.
Website use
This website is a set of static pages. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not set cookies of its own. The hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser type) for security and operation of the service.
What this website stores on your device
Two settings may be kept by your own browser, on your device only; neither is sent to us.
- Reduce motion. If you switch the footer's "Reduce motion" on, the choice is stored in your browser's local storage until you switch it off again. If your system already asks for reduced motion, nothing is stored.
- Request draft. If sending a request fails, or while delivery is not yet connected, the text you entered (not the attachments) is kept in this tab's session storage so that nothing is lost. The draft is removed when the request is sent or when the tab is closed.
How requests are processed
The prepared delivery route (not yet active) passes a submitted form to a server function on the website's hosting platform, which checks it and sends it as one email, with the attached files, through an email delivery service to our company mailbox; the request is then kept in that mailbox. The hosting platform and the email service, and where they process data, will be named here once the route is switched on; until then the form does not send and offers a pre-filled email to our mailbox instead. Email requests go directly to our mailbox.
Request data is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting order, and afterwards for the period required by commercial and tax record-keeping rules in Qatar. The retention period for requests that do not lead to an order will be stated here once it is set.
We share request data only with the manufacturers, distributors, logistics and payment counterparties needed to quote and fulfil a specific request, and only to the extent needed. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to a particular use by writing to info@ogtrading-qa.com. We answer such requests within the periods set by applicable data-protection law, including Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law where it applies.
